High Flow PK2 Series 10-40 Inch Eco-Friendly PP Pleated Filter Cartridge Replacement For Water Treatment

Anyone who has used the water purifier knows that the filter element is the most important part, and the quality of the filtered water depends on it. Therefore, we must replace the filter element in time. So how to change the filter element of water purifier?

First of all, you need to know when to replace it. After all, it's too early to replace. You think it's wasteful. If you replace it late, it will affect the water quality. Generally speaking, the service life of filter element: PP cotton filter: 3-6 months; Pre activated carbon filter: 8-12 months; Ultrafiltration membrane filter: 15-18 months; RO membrane filter: 36 months; Post activated carbon filter: 15-18 months. But this is only a vague conceptual standard. The water quality is different everywhere, the use frequency of water purifiers is different, and the replacement time is also different.

However, if the following conditions occur, it indicates that the filter element of the water purifier should be replaced:
1. The outlet water flow becomes very small (indicating that the filter element is blocked, and the filter element should be cleaned to restore the normal flow). After cleaning, the flow is still very small, which can not meet the needs;
2. The taste of the effluent decreases and the taste is close to that of tap water, that is, the chlorine smell of tap water cannot be removed, indicating that the activated carbon filter element has been saturated and the activated carbon has failed;
3. The softening function cannot be restored or the softening effect cannot meet the requirements after the softening core is regenerated.

The specific steps are as follows:
1. Close the water valve of the machine (if there is no three-way ball valve on the water purifier, close the main water valve at home), and then open the faucet to drain the water in the water purifier.
2. Put a wrench on the filter bottle and unscrew the filter bottle clockwise (when unscrewing the filter bottle, hold the filter bottle cap with the other hand to prevent the connection of the pre filter from loosening; take out and throw away the dirty filter element and put it into a new ppcotton filter element; (ppcotton must be certified as a regular brand when purchasing, generally the regular brands are printed with steel seal!)
3. Check whether the white plastic washer in the filter cap and the black washer outside the filter mouth are tightly padded. If they are loose, press them tightly by hand;
4. Fill more than half of the tap water in the filter bottle, return the filter bottle to the filter bottle cap and tighten it;
5. After the new filter element is installed, close the filter element cover, and then open the valve for test. After 10 minutes of test, there is no problem or abnormal sound, it can be used.
